We will reopen Wednesday, December 2nd. The focus will be on testing.

Here’s the latest from Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham:

All non-essential businesses will be forced to close for 14 days, starting Monday, Nov. 16. Non-essential businesses include gyms, hair salons and spas. 

All testing will be postponed until further notice.

All classes for Monday 10/26 are cancelled. The heater at the dojang is not working properly.

There will be no classes on Saturday September 5th and Monday September 7th. Happy Labor Day!

Per the Governor’s new mandate beginning Monday, July 13th, face masks will be required while exercising. Please keep your face masks on.

We are trying to get a better sense of who will be returning to our Albuquerque location so we can plan accordingly. If you have NOT already talked to us, please let us know your plans via our contact page. If you’d like to be advised of any potential last minute changes, please also leave a number so we can text you the information. Thank you for all your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we navigate this unprecedented time.

We are excited that Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham just announced that New Mexico is moving into the next phase of reopening. Gyms are now allowed to open at 50% capacity. We are planning to reopen Monday, June 1st. There will be many changes so that we can maintain a safe environment for all our students and families. We will be posting further instructions and updates on the website as we get ready for everyone to safely return to class.

Kim’s Martial Arts is remaining closed to comply with the Governor’s order. The business phone has been temporarily disconnected in order to reduce spending. However, if you need to contact us, please leave us a message by using the contact form.

We have not been idle during this period. Master Kim has consulted with medical experts and is working with instructors in making plans and preparations regarding how we will open back up again while providing a safe environment for our students. Please stay tuned for more announcements to come. We miss everyone and hope that you are all staying well during this difficult time.

In compliance with Governor Grisham’s stay at home order, Kim’s Martial Arts will be closed until 4/30.

We are planning to remain open because this is not a place of large gathering.

However, we will temporarily suspend grappling and sparring. Instead we will focus on forms and traditional skills (hands and feet). 

We will not provide community gloves, please bring your own. 

Please be considerate of others and don’t come if you are sick.
