Don’t forget the holiday party afterward!

A great day in Belen. Thanks go out to the Longs who have been throwing friendly, well run tournaments for over 30 years. Congratulations to all who participated.

Special kudos to Keana, Jet, and Yalee for sweeping the Junior Grand Champion awards. Also to Amy and Brian for Adult Kyu forms and Black Belt sparing.  That makes 11 different students who received Grand Champion awards so far this year!

Here are a few pictures. Many thanks to Marshall, Jadine, and a few Facebook posts for providing images. If you have others you would like considered for posting, send them in.

Take sometime off….  Come to the the tournament!

The Tamara Long Memorial Tournament is coming up this Saturday.
This is a great tournament at a great price and the proceeds go to a scholarship.

Don’t miss the holiday party after testing on November 7th.
Come see everyone and enjoy some great food and great times!

The next testing will be on November 7th.
Let’s get ready for a great performance.

Great job everyone, congratulations! Also, many thanks to those who put the picnic together. It was a blast! It’s really nice to get together and relax after a long day testing.

No practice on Friday.
No class on Monday.

Great tournament by the Chavez Dojo. Organized and courteous. They do make sure everyone earns their points. Another interesting challenge was that a competitor has to win first place in both forms and fighting to qualify for the grand champion events.

Congrats to Lucas and Jet on winning their Grand Champion awards. Special mention to Lucas, this was his first Grand Champion award this year. He joins what is now the crew of 8 juniors that have won a Grand Champion event this year. Great job!
