Great tournament by the Chavez Dojo. Organized and courteous. They do make sure everyone earns their points. Another interesting challenge was that a competitor has to win first place in both forms and fighting to qualify for the grand champion events.

Congrats to Lucas and Jet on winning their Grand Champion awards. Special mention to Lucas, this was his first Grand Champion award this year. He joins what is now the crew of 8 juniors that have won a Grand Champion event this year. Great job!

Another fine performance at a tournament with strong competition. Congratulations to all and special recognition to the Grand Champion winners Keana and Chris. That makes 12 grand champion awards by 7 different students so far this year!

Congratulations to to those who were promoted and many thanks to those who helped.

The picnic also went very well. Lot’s of great food and the pinata was a blast! The water balloons, light bands, and glow tape kept the kids going till the park closed. Lot’s of fun!
