Outstanding performances by the Grand Champion winners: (from the right to left) Jeffery, Jerry, Ranee, Gloriana, and Caleb. Caleb took both men’s forms and fighting to win two absolutely beautiful Damascus steel sword sets awarded by the gracious hosts Masters Richard and Cindy Long. There is great competition at the annual tournament and scholarship fund raiser in memory of their daughter, Captain Tamara Long-Archuleta. This tournament is always a highlight of the year.

Testing is coming up in Albuquerque on Saturday, November 3rd. Time to get ready! The holiday party will be Saturday as well. Come share your favorite foods and let the kids play.  It is also a great time to get to know everyone. Of course, family and friends are welcome.

Congrats to the ladies that competed at the Jim Hawkes Memorial Tournament.

Congratulations to all that were promoted. In particular, Hannah Cheng on her 2nd Degree Black Belt and to Dr. Mark Yee for achieving his 1st. Great Job! Also, Many thanks to the people that came to support. Especially those that traveled in from Farmington, Kirkland, Oklahoma, and Arizona. (pics)

Master Rector hosted his 3rd Annual Kim’s Gathering and Testing in Kirtland this weekend. It was great to see people from the three New Mexico schools get together at one event. (pictures)
