Here’s the latest news from Master Rector in Farmington.

Yesterday we were out on the range, and wow was it a beautiful day to be out there.  We did our usual target practice, but if you look closely at the pictures that I am including you will see something else, items that should look familiar to you.  We brought what we practice in combatives class to the range.  We had Jerry, canes, knives and our mindset.  And boy did we practice what we learn. It was an amazing experience to see how the lessons can really be applied to outside the school.

Kim’s Combatives is becoming a viable art form!

The next tournament is on Saturday, February 18th. Tournament practice begins this Friday 1/20 at 6.

Next testing will be February 11th. Please mark your calendars. Testing papers will be handed out close to the date. Not everyone will be testing.

No classes 12/24-12/26 and 12/31-1/2 (Saturday to Monday).

Everyone planning to compete in the upcoming Belen tournament please remember to turn in your registration form by Friday October 14th along with cash or check payable to Belen Goju Ryu Karate

For clarification, Kata is forms, Kumite is sparring. The cost with early registration discount for one event is $35 and for two events is $40.
